We follow the trend of motorhome pitches
We recently ran an article about golf clubs becoming an increasingly common destination for motorhomers and caravanners, who travel between different clubs and enjoy the summer and variety. We thought it was great and now offer four pitches with pull-out electricity for motorhomes and caravans.
Our temporary visitors have access to all facilities available in the clubhouse incl. changing rooms and kitchenette between 07:00-22:00. On our lovely patio and glazed terrace you can enjoy a breakfast before heading out on your round of golf. Investment for pitch including electricity is SEK 200 per night.

"Golf courses are increasingly getting a parking lot"
(Published June 30, 2020, on husbilhusvagn.se)
Golf camping is growing in interest and many golf clubs are increasing the number of pitches this year to meet the growing demand. In a survey conducted on behalf of Golfhäftet, 4731 golfers tell us about their holiday plans with a focus on golf camping.
In June, a survey was conducted among Swedish golfers focusing on golf camping. 4,731 respondents answered the survey and 40% of respondents said they have experience of golf camping. Of these, 15% had golf camped once, 40% had golf camped between two and five times, 28% between 6 and 20 times and 17% had golf camped more than 20 times.
27% of respondents said they will golf camp this year and 35% have not yet decided. More than half of the golf campers take the motorhome, just under a quarter the caravan and 3 percent travel by boat. 17% report other options such as a cabin, car, train, hotel or tent. 17% of respondents plan up to three golf camping days, a quarter plan between four and seven, a quarter say one to two weeks. A third say they will golf camp for more than two weeks.
It is mainly the younger age groups that will be golf camping for the first time this year. 14% of respondents with no golf camping experience in the 18-24 and 25-34 age groups will be golf camping for the first time this year. In all of the older age groups the corresponding figure is 4%.
- We are seeing an overall increase in younger golfers on the Golf Booklet this year. It is clear that this year is unusual in many ways. Normally more than half of Golfhäftet users golf abroad, but this year looks very different for obvious reasons, although travel restrictions have now been eased. "Many new users are playing golf for the first time, while others are coming back to golf after a few years' break or simply play a lot of golf and are keen to try out new courses," says Fredrik van Speijk, CEO of Golfhäftet.
80% base the route of their golf camping vacation on the courses they want to play during their holiday. 40% base the route on the weather when it's time to go and 35% choose the route based on other activities they want to combine their golf camping with. 18% plan their route based on where their friends live and 12% want to find a route that suits the whole family. Only 2% say they base their planning on a particular road, such as the E4.
When it comes to choosing a golf course, price is the most important parameter, with 54% stating that the course should be affordable. 36 percent choose the courses based on how good the pitches are there and 6 percent close to the first tee.
- Our partner clubs are seeing an increase in guest play via Golfhäftet, among other things, which is of course positive for their finances. Hagge GK is one of our most popular clubs that this year has invested in more cabins and more pitches to meet the increasing demand. Many other clubs are doing the same, plus they have renovated the restaurants, for example, to adapt to current restrictions," adds Fredrik van Speijk.
