Green card

Beginner courses for those who want to start playing golf

Are you keen to try golf? Maybe you have a partner or friends who already play? We help you with the basics of golf both on the practice area and the golf course. The goal is for you to get started with the sport and have a lot of fun in the process. The price varies according to the number of people taking part in the lessons, so encourage your friends to join in.

How do I take a green card?

A green card is a bit like a driver's license - proof that you know the game and the rules. Together we go through the steps, both practical and purely administrative, required to get a green card. After completing the course and passing the game, you will receive a Green Card Certificate from us.

But what does an approved score mean? Well, it is when you have achieved a score from the yellow or red tee, 18 points over nine holes on one occasion or 14-17 points on 2 occasions. Does that sound like Greek to you? Don't worry. We'll guide you through all the steps.

The road to a green card

Our beginner courses are the way to your green card. Choose whether you want to get started yourself or in the company of good friends, we offer both private and group training. We go through all strokes; Swing, putt, chip, bunker shot and drive. The practical elements are interspersed with some theory (golf etiquette / rules) out in the green.

The different types of golf

During the course you will learn the basics of the different strokes of golf. The focus is also on warming up to keep your body healthy and to get the most out of your golf swing.

Golf etiquette - safer and more fun golf

Golf etiquette is about consideration, course care, pace of play, ethics and morals. During the training, you will learn to take care of your own safety and that of others.

Rules of the game

In sport, it is the rules that define the game. The most fun is when you know the rules of the game and find that your knowledge of the rules helps you get a better result, such as if you get into trouble and the rules say you get relief without having to take a hit.

Equipment, track walking and practice games

You will get acquainted with a lot of golf terms, such as chip, wedge, drive and putting. In addition, you will learn about the equipment and do at least one course walk that shows you how to practically apply golf etiquette and the rules of golf. You will practice at least twice with a mentor who has a good knowledge of safety, pace of play, consideration and course maintenance.

After the training

To get a green card, you need to sign up for a membership at a club of your choice. You then continue your training and play out on the course. Many golfers find it beneficial to start playing a shorter course and later, as they become more confident, move back to regular tees. We will guide you on where you should play and practice from.
